Rooted in Wellness: A space where stories, growth, and self-discovery come together.

This is where I share my personal journey through life, wellness, and everything in between. From my experiences as a Type 1 diabetic and living with celiac, to my growth as a mother and woman, this blog is my heart laid out in words. It’s a place where I can reflect on the ups and downs, the struggles and the triumphs, and invite you to join me on this journey of healing, self-love, and wellness.

Here, I’ll be writing down my thoughts, sharing the lessons I’ve learned, and offering a glimpse into the life I’m building. My hope is that, through my stories, you’ll find inspiration, connection, and maybe even the courage to embrace your own path to wellness. Whether you're looking for support, motivation, or just a place to relate, you’re not alone here.

  • Ever Zoey: My Journey to Self-Love, Healing and Wellness

From the moment I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at the age of 7, I had to learn how to navigate life with a weight on my shoulders that most people would never understand. At 12, I was also diagnosed with celiac disease, another lifelong challenge that required me to pay attention to every single thing I put into my body. It wasn’t easy. In fact, I spent a lot of my life rebelling against my body, against the health challenges I faced, and against myself. I didn’t love myself for a long time, and I made mistakes—many mistakes. But here I am today, running a wellness brand called Ever Zoey, and I can say without a doubt that the person I am today is nothing like the person I used to be.

The Road to Self-Acceptance: A Journey of Healing

I spent my teenage years and early adulthood struggling with low self-esteem and self-worth. I was diagnosed with diabetes at such a young age, and I quickly learned how to manage insulin and blood sugars, but I never learned how to take care of myself. By the time I turned 19, I started experimenting with alcohol and, eventually, drugs. I excused it all for years—telling myself I was just having fun, telling myself everyone goes through phases. But deep down, I was spiraling, running from my emotions, trying to mask the pain and discomfort I had never truly faced.

It wasn’t until I got pregnant that I began to turn things around. When I found out I was going to be a mother, everything shifted. The fear, the uncertainty, the joy—it all hit me at once. Was I ready to be a parent? Was anyone? I didn’t even know if I wanted kids at that point in my life. But then came Zoey, and she changed everything.

I wasn’t ready, but I was determined to figure it out. And as much as I made mistakes along the way (because let’s be honest—being a parent doesn’t come with a manual), everything started to get better the moment I decided to make a change. It was no longer just about me—it was about her. Zoey deserved a mother who was fully present, fully healthy, and fully happy. And I deserved to be those things, too.

The Power of Change: Evolving Into the Person I Was Meant to Be

You know the saying, fall down seven times, get up eight? Well i've fallen down a few more than 7 times, and rock bottom had a basement. But what matters is, I got up. Sometimes, we lose ourselves, but it’s not permanent. It’s in those moments of lostness that we discover what we really need. I craved change. I needed something different. The life I had lived, full of self-sabotage and negativity, had become a version of me that no longer served me. And so began the shift.

As with any evolution, there’s a sense of grief that comes with change. People leave your life. New relationships form. And as life moves faster than we can sometimes keep up with, we must learn to grow with it. Sometimes, the person you were before no longer fits. And that’s okay. Letting go of the past can feel like a loss, but it’s really just the beginning of something new.

Diabetes: A Constant Companion Through It All

And through all of it—the highs and lows of life—my diabetes has been my constant companion. Every morning, every afternoon, every night, I’ve had to manage my blood sugar, give myself insulin, check my levels, eat when I need to, and make sure my body has what it needs. Through every emotion, every stage of life, from pregnancy to breakups, from addiction to sobriety, from grief to growth—diabetes has been there.

And that’s a big deal. It’s not something that goes away. People with chronic illnesses have to learn to navigate life with an added weight on their shoulders. It can be isolating. It can feel lonely. But I’ve been lucky. From the beginning, I’ve had the most supportive people in my life—my family, my partner, my friends, and now Zoey, my little sidekick.

Zoey is only 4 years old, but she’s already my little health advocate. She knows when Mommy needs juice because my blood sugar is low. She tells me when my Dexcom alert goes off, saying, “Mommy, your sugar is going up.” She knows when I need to lie down or when I need to eat something. Do you know how remarkable that is for a 4-year-old? For her to understand something so complex, yet view it through such a simple lens—eat when you’re hungry, sleep when you’re tired—it’s truly beautiful.

She is, in many ways, the inspiration behind Ever Zoey. When I chose this name, it was because of her. She was my reason for changing, for becoming the woman and mother I always knew I could be. I wanted to show her that life can be beautiful, and that taking care of ourselves is a gift—not a burden.

Ever Zoey: More Than Just a Wellness Brand

Ever Zoey is not just a business. It’s an embodiment of everything I’ve learned and everything I continue to learn. It’s my commitment to wellness, not just for myself, but for everyone who needs a little extra support. Whether it’s managing blood sugar, sticking to a gluten-free diet for celiac, improving sleep, or supporting gut health, Ever Zoey is here to help people feel better in every way.

My wellness supplements are not just products—they are support systems. When I created this brand, it was because I wanted to offer something more than just a physical product. I wanted to create a space where people felt seen, understood, and supported. I wanted to offer a little something extra for those navigating challenges, whether that’s with diabetes, celiac, or anything else.

Every day, I see Ever Zoey growing into something bigger than I ever imagined. It’s more than just supplements—it’s a community. It’s a place where you can come, learn, and find your own support system. It’s a space where you can relate, heal, and thrive.

The Shift is Real: A Positive Mindset Can Change Everything

I’ll say this again: The shift is real. The moment you decide to make a change, things start to change. And the most important change begins in your mind. A positive mindset can be the game-changer. It’s not always easy, but it is always worth it. Life will continue to throw challenges at us, but with the right mindset, we can meet each one head-on.

I’m still learning to love myself more. I’m opening my heart to the possibility that I am more than I’ve allowed myself to believe. I’m smarter than I thought. I’m worthy of a beautiful, abundant life, filled with peace, love, and health. And I’m here to remind you that you are too.

    A Support System for Everyone

At Ever Zoey, my goal is to create a support system for everyone—whether you’re struggling with diabetes, celiac, sleep issues, gut health, or simply looking for someone to relate to. We are all navigating our own journeys, and sometimes, we need a little extra help along the way.
